Charles “Chuck” Andy Hugdahl, 86, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away February 5, 2012, at the Silver Wood Good Samaritan of Silverton, Idaho. He was born August 16, 1925 at Wallace, Idaho; Chuck was the son of Andy and Elizabeth “Iva” (Mustoe) Hugdahl.

Chuck attended and graduated from the Kingston High School of Kingston, Idaho in 1942. He has lived in the Silver Valley all of his life.

Chuck married Maxine Daniels on April 22, 1947 in Montana; Maxine passed away on September 9, 1994.

Chuck had served as a machinist for the Bunker Hill Mining Company for over forty years; he retired in 1972.

Chuck was a member of the Pinehurst/Kingston Lions Club and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved and enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting, bowling with his wife Maxine, playing cards and bingo.

Chuck is survived by two daughters Sherry Hugdahl and Terry DeVore of Spokane, Washington and Letha Bakken of Sandpoint, Idaho; Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Maxine.

Cremation was held and private family services were held. The family wishes to express their heart-felt thanks to Silver Wood Good Samaritan for their wonderful care given to Chuck.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Silver Wood Good Samaritan, P.O. Box 358, Silverton, Idaho 83867 or to the Pinehurst/Kingston Lions Club, 106 Church Street Pinehurst, Idaho 83850.

I had the pleasure of caring for Chuck when I was an employee at Good Sams. Frequently we sit and visit on the couch during the evning shift and eat cookies he would tell me stories about working in the Bunker Hill Mine , He had a great smile that always brightened my day! -- Rebecca Norton
