Elizabeth “Betty” Fugate, 83, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away September 12, 2011 at the family home of Pinehurst. She was born March 29, 1928 at Chatsworth, New Jersey; Betty was the daughter of Theodore and Charlotte (Stevenson) King.
Betty married Paul Fugate, Jr. on January 12, 1946 at Mount Holly, New Jersey; Paul passed away in 1989.
Betty, Paul and family moved to Butte, Montana from New Jersey in 1962. The family then moved to the Silver Valley in 1967.
Betty was a housewife and mother. She was a member of the Eagles and a member of the United Steelworkers Womens’ Auxiliary. Betty loved and enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, gardening and working with house plants, flowers and a small vegetable garden.
Betty is survived by eight children, thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one sister, five brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul and one grandchild.
A public viewing will be held Friday September 16th, 2011 at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel in Kellogg, Idaho from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg, Idaho with Pastor Carrie Schram officiating. Burial will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery of Kellogg, Idaho.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, National Headquarters, 801 Eighteenth Street NW., Washington, DC 20006-3517; or to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure, Att: Donor Services, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX. 75265-0309; or to the charity of the Donor’s choice.
