Franklin “Frank” Colbert Gust, 63, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away January 18, 2012 at the family home of Wallace. He was born November 6, 1948 at Wallace, Idaho; Frank was the son of Inman and Ethel (English) Gust.
Frank attended schools in Wallace and attended the North Idaho College and received his degree in welding; he had also attended the PI School of Welding in Phoenix, Arizona. Frank has lived in the Silver Valley all of his life.
Frank worked for Burns Yak Saw Mill of Osburn for ten years; he then served as a miner and had mainly mined at the Coeur Mine; he then served as a truck driver for Buell Trucking of St. Maries, Idaho.
Frank married Patsy Ramirez in 1990 at Wallace, Idaho.
Frank loved and enjoyed camping, traveling, his motorcycle and in the earlier years attending sporting events for his sons.
Frank is survived by his wife Patsy Gust; two sons Randy and his wife Barbara Gust of Osburn, Idaho; Rod Gust of Columbus, Montana; one step-son Darrell and his wife Mariam Lemieux of Silverton, Idaho; six grandchildren Brad Harris, Hunter Gust, Bailey Gust, Tucker Gust, Monique’ Lemieux and Levi Lemieux; two sisters Lena Vaughn of Spokane, Washington and Doris Casey of Spokane, Washington; one brother Robert Lee Gust of Spokane, Washington; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Frank was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.
Cremation was held and a family gathering will be held at a later date.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shoshone Humane Society, P.O. Box 1005, Kellogg, Idaho 83837 or to the District I Quick Response Unit, P.O. Box 723 Osburn, Idaho 83849.
