Hannelore “Lori” Gertrud Edith Lake, 63, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away August 29, 2011 at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Lori was born July 8, 1948 in Northeim, West Germany. Lori was the daughter of Oskar and Edith (Brodovski) P˙.
Lori was raised in Germany, where she met her future husband Robin Lake, while he served in the U.S. Armed Forces. After Robin’s discharge from the military, they were married December 15, 1969 in Grafenrheinfeld, West Germany. After their marriage, they moved back to the United States settling in Idaho’s Silver Valley in June of 1970.
Lori had worked as a beautician in Germany. When she moved to the Silver Valley Lori and her husband owned and operated a company, Lake T.V., later known as Telesystems. Together they built the company from the ground up, providing cable service to parts of the Silver Valley and surrounding areas. They later sold the company in 1999.
Lori was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Kellogg, Idaho, including the Altar Guild. She loved and enjoyed her family, she was a great cook and baker. She also loved the outdoors, including picking huckleberries and getting wood.
Lori is survived by her husband Robin of the family home in Pinehurst, Idaho; her daughter Heike Lake and her significant other Skip Frazier of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; her sister Beate and her husband Rainer Kippenberg of Germany; her Aunt Erika Findling of Germany; and her niece Antje and her husband Philip Dittmar of Germany. Lori was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation was held and memorial services will be held Saturday, September 3rd, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the American Lutheran Church in Kellogg, Idaho with Rev. Jason Bonnicksen officiating.
Shoshone Funeral Service and Crematory are entrusted with arrangements.

Lori was so sweet and kind; I never heard a bad word from her; about anything or anybody. She cherished her family and her personal relationship with the Lord. It showed. She will be greatly missed. -- Jan Olsen

Heike, I saw your mom and dad on the 4th of July; it was good to see them! I enjoyed my quick visit with your mom & her update on you. I remember going up the river with you and your parents and their trailer. Your mom made dinner over the fire and it was one of the best dinners I can remember! I also remember her well kept house!
