Lita Mae Furber, 84, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away January 25, 2012 at the Silver Wood Good Samaritan Center of Silverton, Idaho. She was born March 19, 1927 at Eureka, California; Lita was the daughter of Steven and Grace (Patch) Stimson.
Lita married Carl Furber on June 10, 1950 at Eureka, California. Carl and Lita moved to the Silver Valley in 1992 from Willow Creek, California.
Lita was a homemaker and had served as a nurses aide in California. She loved and enjoyed her family, crocheting, knitting, crafts and painting; she was also an excellent cook and seamstress. Lita was a musician and loved to play guitar, the organ and piano.
Lita is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years Carl Furber of the family home of Osburn, Idaho; two daughters Linda and her husband Joe Beavers of Flagstaff, Arizona and Kathleen “Kathy” Shook of Osburn, Idaho; she is also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Lita was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson Shawn Beavers and three brothers.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg, Idaho with Rev. Joe Beavers officiating. Interment will be held at the Osburn Day Cemetery of Osburn, Idaho.
