Mable Irene Schulz, 92, passed away November 5th, 2011 at Mountain Valley Care and Rehabilitation Center in Kellogg, Idaho. Mable was born November 29, 1918 in Long Valley, Idaho. Mable was the daughter of Albert and Myrtle Scoonover.
Mable had moved to Livingston, Montana where she met Paul Schultz. They were later married in 1956 in Townsend, Montana. Together they moved to Idaho in 1975 settling in the Silver Valley.
Mable worked for Dan Bailey’s Fly Shop in Livingston, Montana were she tied flies. She was a member of the New Hope Assembly of God Church in Pinehurst, Idaho.
Mable was a wonderful homemaker and mother. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed the outdoors including camping, fishing, and picking huckleberries. Mable was also a great baker, and enjoyed making wedding cakes especially for her grandchildren’s weddings.
Mable is survived by 2 daughters Barbara St. Pierre of Post Falls, Idaho, and Bonnie and her husband Ed Knowles of California, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters Minnie Ball of Boise, Idaho, and Ellen Schulzt of Boise, Idaho, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mable was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 brothers Johnnie Holcomb, Oscar Holcomb, Lester Holcomb, and Gene Holcomb, 4 grandchildren Jeannie St. Pierre, Michael St. Pierre, Jacqueline St. Pierre, and Rodney Wornick, 4 great-grandchildren Jackie Wedel, Ashley St. Pierre, Michael St. Pierre, and Duane White, 3 nephews Melvin Holcomb, Dale Holcomb, and Albert Holcomb, 4 son-in-laws Clyde St. Pierre, Barney Bryler, John Knowles, and Lee Vickery.
Cremation was held and a memorial service will be held Saturday November 19th, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Mountain Valley Care and Rehabilitation Center in Kellogg, Idaho. Inurnment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg, Idaho.
Shoshone Funeral Service and Crematory are entrusted with making arrangements.
