Robert “Bob” Henry Kottkey, 70, of Wallace, Idaho passed away December 30, 2011 at Kootenai Medical Center of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Bob was born April 22, 1941 in Wallace, Idaho. Bob was the son of Henry and Muriel (Jenkins) Kottkey.
Bob attended and graduated from the Wallace High School of Wallace, Idaho in 1959. He then went on to attend the University of Idaho where he earned a degree in forestry. Bob became a Forester, making him the third generation in his family to enter the forestry field. Bob worked in California, and Orofino, Idaho, before returning to Wallace, Idaho where he continued his forestry career.
Bob was a member of the Osburn Lions Club, the Shoshone County Sportsmen’s Association, and the American Society of Foresters. He loved the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, picking huckleberries, and gardening. Bob also loved to spend time with his family, especially his nephews.
Bob is survived by his brother Steve and his wife Diana Kottkey of Clarkston, Washington; and three nephews Robert Kottkey and his significant other Barbara, Kirk and his wife Monica Kottkey of Lewiston, Idaho, and Kevin and his wife Kristy of Forest Grove, Oregon, and numerous cousins. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and several Aunts, and Uncles.
Cremation was held and Memorial Services will be held on Thursday January 12th, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg, Idaho with Rev. Ken Bartle officiating. There will be a reception and a gathering of family and friends at the Broken Wheel Restaurant of Kellogg, Idaho following services.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shoshone County Sportsmen’s Association, P.O. Box 705, Wallace, Idaho 83873 or to the charity of the Donor’s choice.

I was sorry to learn of Bob's death. I knew him especially through his employment a Brook's Drug Store in Wallace where my mother also worked She always spoke highly of him. -- Lee Lundal
