Thomas Hal Carter passed away at his home in Wallace, Idaho August 30, 2011. Tom was born in Fresno, California Oct. 19, 1948. He served in the military and was stationed in Germany during 1970-1974. Once back stateside, he and his wife moved to the Tri-cities area and raised four children.
In 2003, Tom retired from NAPA and purchased his home in the Wallace area. Tom was proud to live here and wished he had moved here sooner. ATV riding and exploring the mountains and lakes with his sons was among his favorite things and brought him much peace.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents John and Beatrice Carter, and is survived by his children Kathy Moss of Cut Bank, MT, Jake Carter of Spokane ,WA, Mike Carter of Maui, HI, and John Carter also of Wallace. Tom also had four sisters, one brother and three grandchildren. Special thanks to his sister, Mary, whom he shared a special bond. Cremation was held at Shoshone Funeral Home. No services will be held at Tom’s request.
