James “Jim” Walter Leischner, 66

James “Jim” Walter Leischner, 66, of Silverton, Idaho, passed away at his home in Silverton, Idaho. He was born May 21, 1953 in Wallace, Idaho; Jim was the son of Walter and Clara (Clark) Leischner.

Jim is a lifelong resident of the Silver Valley. He attended and graduated from Wallace High School in 1970.

Jim worked several jobs over the years including mining, dry walling and tending bar at the Brookes Hotel. In his free time Jim loved being in the great outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing and working with wood.  

Jim is survived by his sister Patti (Mark) McDonald and his niece Shannon McDonald. He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews Jaide (Josh) Moss-Hendricks, Sydney Eversole, Mathew Eversole, Jaden Hastings, Brooke (Mike) Deakins, Jamie McDonald, Addison McDonald, and numerous great-great nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew James “Mac” Walter McDonald.   

Cremation will take place and services will be held at a later date.
