Barbara Jean Dunn

Barbara Jean Dunn, 87, of Kellogg, ID, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026 at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Barbara was born on January 14, 1939 in Picher, OK, the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Moore) Lewis.

Barbara was a graduate of Kellogg High School, Class of 1956 and married Kenney Dunn on June 28, 1956. Barbara was a bank teller for numerous years at First Security Bank in Kellogg. She enjoyed feeding the birds, spending time with her precious family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and as her family said – just being ornery. Her laugh and humor will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by a son, Terry Dunn.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 70 years, Kenney Dunn of Kellogg, ID; two children, Mark (Barb) Dunn of Spokane, WA and Rhonna (Tony) Mitchem of Kellogg, ID; ten grandchildren, Darrick (Brenda) Mitchem of Kellogg, ID, David (Erica) Mitchem of Post Falls, ID, Dustin (Amy) Mitchem of Kellogg, ID, Dylan (Jesseca) Mitchem of Pinehurst, ID, Byron (Amanda) Dunn of Post Falls, ID, Brianna Dunn of Meridian, ID, Cameron Dunn of Meridian, ID, Tiffany (Brett) Smith of Arizona, Stephanie (Jake) Gustafson of Arizona, Jolyne (Mike) O’Brien of Montana, and Catina Willis of Spokane, WA; numerous great-grandchildren, a brother, Donnie Lewis of Smelterville, ID; and a daughter in-law, Susan White-Dunn of Meridian, ID.

A celebration of Barbara’s life is being planned and will be announced.
