IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christine "Chris"
Skilton
October 23, 1949 – December 14, 2025
Christine (Chris) Skilton, 76, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025 in Bellingham, WA. Chris was born on October 23, 1949 in Santa Monica, CA.
Chris lived a vibrant and full life marked by her deep love for family, faith, nature, and her joyful spirit. She had a fun-loving nature and had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life – dancing to country music, cooking hearty meals for her loved ones, and spending time outdoors camping. Her passion for music often filled her home with warmth and laughter, and she never missed an opportunity to dance when a favorite tune came on the radio.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Chris found strength and purpose in her faith. Her spiritual life was a guiding force that shaped her values and the way she scared for others. She was deeply family-oriented and cherished every moment spent with those she loved.
Chris’s love extended beyond people to animals as well. Over the years, she shared her home with beloved dogs, several cats, and even a parrot – each one a testament to her nurturing heart.
One of Chris’s greatest joys was being a grandmother. Every summer, she would embark on solo road trips across multiple states to pick up her grandchildren – a tradition that spoke volumes about her adventurous spirit and unwavering dedication to family. She delighted in preparing meals for them and creating lasting memories around the dinner table, playing in the lake, and camping.
Chris is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob; her identical twin sister, Cindy, and her father, Bob.
Chris is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lisa Hedley, and a son, Christopher Hedley; her mother, Joann Landin; sister, Karyn Look; brother-in-law, Garrand Look; grandchildren, Daymon Patterson, Tori (Chris) Thomason, and Lacy (Austin) Essex; two great-grandchildren, Jayce and Summer; nephew Geoff (Keri)Walker; as well as great-nephews and their families.
Chris’ legacy lives on through the many lives she touched with kindness, laughter, and unconditional love. May her memory bring a comfort to all who knew her.
Chris’ daughter, Lisa, and granddaughter, Lacy wish to extend a special thank you to Dr. Antony Branz, Dr. John C. Stackow, Brianna Essex and her loving staff of dedicated personnel at Mountain Valley of Cascadia, who take care of Chris like their own, physical therapist, Rusty Woods, and members of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pinehurst, ID.
