Colleen Delores Barker

Colleen Delores Barker (Mader), 91, passed away on June 2, 2023 at Schneidmiller  Hospice House.in Coeur d’Alene. Colleen was born February 9, 1932 in Kellogg, Idaho, daughter of Walter and Margaret Mader. Colleen lived in the Silver Valley her whole life working at various jobs ending in her retirement as coordinator of the WIC program in Shoshone County.

She and Ed Barker were married September 10, 1948. They were married 65 years, raising four children. Colleen was a strong, beautiful person with a kind and loving heart.

Colleen had a real passion for gardening, especially her beautiful, extensive rose garden.

Survivors include her daughter, Larian Seatz and her husband Frank. Seven grandchildren. Angie Walker, Tara Seatz, Jeremy Seatz (Liz), Eric Knapp (April), Jake Barker, Luke Barker and Sam Barker. Eight great-grandchildren: Katie Buckingham (Blaine), Reni Dumont (Myranda), Kenzie Wheeler (Kole), K.J. Walker, Mercedes Williams, Owen Seatz, Izy Seatz, and Declan Seatz.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed Barker, three children Roni Parkins,  Mike Barker, Mark Barker, Grandson Tyson Parkins and great-great grandson Justin Dumont.

A private family graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Kellogg, Idaho.
