Daniel John Erickson, 48

Beloved husband, son, brother and uncle, Daniel John Erickson, 48, of Mullan, Idaho, passed away July 15, 2017 at the family home of Mullan.  He was born January 24, 1969 in Silverton, Idaho; Daniel is the son of John and Bonita (Therrian) Erickson.

Daniel has lived in the Silver Valley all of his life.  He attended and graduated from the Mullan High School in 1987.  Daniel then attended the University of Idaho.

Daniel married Cheryl Cody on June 29, 1996 at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Mullan.

Daniel had served as an electrician and top lander at the Lucky Friday Mine of the Hecla Mining Company for many years.

Daniel was a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Mullan, he served as a Fire Commissioner for Fire District 3 and was a member of the Mullan Volunteer Fire Department.

Daniel loved and enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, riding in his jeep and ATVing; he so loved the great outdoors.

Daniel is survived by his beloved wife Cheryl Erickson of the family home of Mullan; his parents John and Bonita Erickson of Mullan; three sisters Michelle Jutila of Athol, Idaho, Tamara and Larry Gormsen of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Christina and Leonard Perry of Stockton, California; four nephews Nicholas, Mathew, Stephen and Justin; two nieces Kiesha and Kayla; one great-niece Riley and one great-nephew Jackson.  Daniel was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Fergus and Florence Therrian and his paternal grandparents Walter and Isabelle Erickson.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, July 27th, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Mullan with Father Jerome Montez serving as celebrant.  A reception and a gathering of family and friends will be held at the Morning Club of Mullan following services; this will be potluck and everyone is welcome.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Mullan Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 422 Mullan, Idaho 83846.
