Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Donald Gene Hodges, 55, of Silverton, Idaho, passed away December 26, 2014 at the family home of Silverton. He was born May 26, 1959 in Loveland, Colorado; Donald was the son of Guy and Ruth (Vasser) Hodges.

Don moved to the Silver Valley in 1970 from Colorado. Don attended and graduated from the Wallace High School in 1977.

Don was a Miner and had worked for the Star Mine, Sunshine Mine, Stillwater Mine of Montana and Sunnyside Gold Mine of Colorado. He had also worked for the EPA.

Don loved the great outdoors, he enjoyed hunting for deer and elk. He also enjoyed pike fishing. Don loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed playing with his dogs Duddly and Silver

On April 1, 1989 Don was united in marriage to Levone Jemmings in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Don is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years Levone Hodges of the family home of Silverton; two children Gregory (Jane) Hodges of Kellogg, Idaho and Bobby Hodges of Homer, Alaska; he is also survived by three grandchildren Scotty, Layla and Larresa; two brothers Rich (Wendy) Hodges of Hayden, Idaho and Earl (Jennifer) Hodges of Loveland, Colorado; four sisters Robin Darst of Kellogg, Idaho, Dara Bebee of Kellogg, Idaho, Diane Hodges of Bishop, California and Pam Lubsack of Greely Colorado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his father Guy Hodges, his mother Ruth Darst, step-father Robert Darst, mother-in-law Nova Jemmings, niece Jessica Case and nephew Anthony Legard.

Cremation will take place and private family services will be held at a later date.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Anthony Legard Scholarship Fund, c/o Wallace School District #393, 405 7th Street, Wallace, Idaho 83873.
