Ella Marie Maupin, 80, of Osburn, Idaho passed away September 9, 2013, at Shoshone Medical Center at Kellogg. Ella was born August, 5, 1933, at Ione, Washington. She was the daughter of Loren and Lillian (McArthur) Reed.

Ella attended schools in Ione, and graduated from Ione High school, of Ione, Washington. She moved to the Silver Valley in 1969, and resided here for the remainder of her life.

Ella married Alfred Price Maupin on June 8, 1952, at Ione. Alfred preceded Ella in death on April 9, 2008.

Ella was a housewife that enjoyed taking care of her family. She also enjoyed coin collecting, quilting, crocheting, gardening, and raising dogs.

Ella is survived by one sister, Dorothy Lindquist of California. She is also survived by three children, daughter Lavena Maupin of Osburn, Larry Price Maupin of Osburn, and Richard Alfred Maupin of Wallace. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Tina, April, Melissa, and Crystal. Ella is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Colton, Nicole, Ryley, Sammy, and Johnathon. Also surviving Ella are numerous nieces and nephews.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alfred, and two brothers, Loren Reed and Johnathon Reed.

A Celebration of Life for Ella will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 1 P.M. at the VFW hall in Osburn, Idaho.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, Texas 75034, or to the Alzheimers Assoc. Inland Northwest Chapter, 1042 W. Mill Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83814.
