Eva Marie Truean, 65, of Wallace, ID, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on July 8th, 2025 at Silverton Health and Rehabilitation after a courageous battle with cancer. Eva was born on November 25, 1959 in Wallace, ID, a daughter of the late Alfred “Mogey” Mogensen and Frankie Jean Mogensen.

Eva graduated from Wallace High School, Class of 1978 and married Dave Truean on December 12th, 1980 in Coeur d’ Alene, ID.

Eva had worked for the US Forest Service, Spunstrand, and was the museum manager at the Oasis Bordello Museum in Wallace. More recently, Eva worked at the Northern Pacific Railroad Depot Museum, a job she greatly enjoyed. Eva enjoyed shopping and trips to the Oregon coast; especially to Rockaway Beach, her favorite spot. She adored her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of her family. Spending time with them brought her the greatest joy.

In addition to her parents, Eva is preceded in death by her aunt, Eva June Roethler.

Survivors include her loving husband, Dave Truean of Wallace, ID; daughters Tanya (Kyle) Koski of Post Falls, ID, Jessica Truean of Wallace, ID and Kaitlyn(Jesse) James of Mullan, ID; grandchildren Corey (Tiffany) Koski, Jacob (Carli) Koski, and Karlee Koski, all residing in Post Falls, ID, McKenna (Mark) Ausman, Ryker James, Eli James, and Archer James; great -granddaughters Brynley Ausman and Collins Koski; three sisters, Jean (Jay) Gunter, and Shari Mogensen both of Nevada, and Lynn Mogensen (Dennis O’Brien) of Wallace, ID. Eva is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, 1:00 PM at Pottsville Park in Mullan, ID. Hot dogs & hamburgers will be served. Bring your chairs and memories of Eva.
