Glen Starchman

October 16, 1951 — August 17, 2022

Glen Starchman, Sr, 70 of Wallace, ID, passed away August 17, 2022 after a long health battle in Kellogg, ID. He held on to life as much as he could for the love of his wife, children and grandchildren. He wanted to stay and make sure we were all okay with every last breath he took.

Glen was born on October 16, 1951 in Wallace, ID, a son of the late Carl Starchman and Neva White Starchman.

He was an intellectual and enjoyed humor. One of his favorite pastimes was simple: Sitting over a cup of coffee and having a conversation for hours. He loved blogging with stories about his parents, hotel management and growing up in Wallace, ID. Glen enjoyed nature with drives up to the mountains and was in awe of wildlife. He also had a passion for gospel music, high school band, geography and science trivia, and baseball. Go, Mariners! He enjoyed the simple treasures in life and was grateful for any sentiment given to him. He loved his family fiercely.

He loved his surviving wife, Candy Starchman, of 16 years. They lived it all together. They laughed, cried, and held onto the each other to the end. They were each other’s rock.

He was preceded by his parents, Carl and Neva Starchman and his brother, Leon Starchman.

He was so proud of his sisters: Dixie Penny and Cheri (Kay) Neill.

He was head-over-heels for his children, Glen Starchman, Jr and Christina Rain. His grandkids meant the most to him: Tai Starchman, Enzo, Mazzy, Ezra and Ezekiel Dominguez. He also honored and maintained his lifetime friendships.

He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. What a gem if you happened to meet him! Forever loved and cherished.

At Glen’s request, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Shoshone Funeral Services, Kellogg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
