Beloved husband, father and grandfather, James “Jim” Anthony Costello, 72, of Kellogg, Idaho passed away December 26, 2013 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg. He was born April 14, 1941 at Seattle, Washington; Jim was the son of Domenick and Rose Marie (Alphonso) Costello.
Jim attended schools in San Francisco, California. He moved to the Silver Valley in 1969 from Seattle, Washington.
Jim married Irene Merrill on January 24, 1970 at Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.
Jim had served as a miner for the Bunker Hill Mining Company. He was also a woodworker and built beautiful furniture and other items out of wood; Jim loved to build things.
Jim loved and enjoyed his family, hobby airplanes- he also belonged to a Hobby Airplane Club of Rathdrum; he also enjoyed building model ships. Jim loved the City of San Francisco, zoos, the ocean, and the outdoors including fishing and hiking.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife of forty-three years Irene Costello of the family home of Kellogg; two daughters Terra (John) McAllister of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho and Angelina (Kevin) Woody of Pinehurst; four grandchildren Samantha Woody, Kendra Woody, Justin Woody and Lindsey Woody. Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Services and A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg with Father Tom Loucks officiating.
