Lawrence Robert Seabolt, 89, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away on the night of July 26, 2026 in Spokane, Washington. Larry was born on August 20, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, to Moses and Grace Seabolt. Larry was the oldest of five children. He got his GED and joined the USAF at 17 years old. After 21 years in the USAF, Larry had numerous ranching jobs until joining the USPS, where he spent 19 years before retiring.
Larry married Veronica Selig in 1984. They lived in Tacoma, Washington, until retirement and lived out his life in North Idaho, where he loved hiking, camping, fishing, playing poker, and making memories while traveling with his family. He was a volunteer, devout Catholic, and Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Hiking and nature were where he loved to spend most of his free time.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret, and his brothers, Thom Seabolt, Patrick Seabolt, and Jim Turner.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica Seabolt; his children, Kristina (Jeff) Vig, Robert (Lisa) Seabolt, Kathleen Turner, Anthony (Amanda) Seabolt, Andrea Hobbs, and Errol Seabolt; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services for Larry will begin with a rosary on August 6, 2026, at 5 p.m. at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kellogg, Idaho. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Rita’s, followed by a burial at Day Cemetery. A luncheon and celebration will be held at St. Rita’s following the burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Knights of Columbus, directly to the Grand Knight, Bill James.
