Beloved husband, brother and uncle, Le-Roy M. Thomas ,76, of Osburn, Idaho passed away October 7, 2013 at the Kootenai Medical Center of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He was born on August 31, 1937 at Wallace, Idaho; Le-Roy was the son of Mathias Marcus and Hilda (Adam) Thomas.

Le-Roy was a life-long resident of the Silver Valley. He attended and graduated from the Wallace High School of Wallace. Le-Roy served in the U.S. Army. He married Joyce M. Cruzan on November 23, 1968 at the Wallace Methodist Church of Wallace.

Le-Roy was a commercial truck driver; he had worked for Garrett Freight Lines for eighteen years and the Coeur d’ Alene Concrete and Asphalt company for ten years before his retirement.

Le-Roy was a past member of the Wallace Elks #331 and member of the Elks Drum and Bugle Corp; he had also been a member of the Mountaineer Motorcycle Club and the Teamsters Local 334.

Le-Roy loved and enjoyed motorcycle riding, gardening and especially cooking and baking- his specialties were bread, cookies, candy and most of all fudge.

Le-Roy is survived by his beloved wife Joyce M. Thomas of the family home of Osburn; three brothers Ronald Thomas of Post Falls, Idaho, Donald Thomas of Spokane, Washington and Richard Thomas of Ukiah, California; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including a special nephew and his wife Steven and Shellie Thomas and great-nieces and nephews Zac (Megan) Thomas, Josh (Chelsea) Thomas and Tori Thomas; Le-Roy is also survived by his beloved dog Jo-Lee and his cat Blue.

Cremation will be held and a family gathering will be held at a later date.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shoshone Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 884, Kellogg, Idaho 83837.
