Mary Ellen Perkins, 70

Mary Ellen Perkins, 70, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2022 at home with her family by her side.  She was born August 17, 1951 in Wallace, Idaho. Mary was the daughter of Jack and Arnita (McCorkle) Glencross.

Mary attended and graduated from the Wallace High School Class of 1969. Mary was an accomplished musician and was selected to play the base clarinet in the All American Band which traveled across the U.S. and overseas. She also was selected to sing in the All American Choir before coming back home.  Mary went on to attended College in Lewiston, Idaho where she received her degree in nursing.  Mary proudly served the community as a nurse for many years. She was honored in 2007 in the Who’s Who of Nursing Magazine. Mary also was published in the American Book of World Poems.

Mary was also a loving mother and always put her children first.

Mary was united in marriage to Randy Perkins on July 8, 2000.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband of twenty-one years Randy Perkins; four children Robert Hill, Heather (DeWayne) Tryon, Trisha Martin and Angela Mulloy; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her sister Debbie (Rob) Lawrence, several nieces and nephews and many adopted children. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob , cousin Velva Jo and best friend Chris Perkins.

A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held and announced at a later date.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society 805 W Garland Ave, Spokane, WA 99205.
