Randell Allen Rosson

September 28, 1970 — September 29, 2021

Randell Allen Rosson, beloved husband, father, son and owner of Silver Valley Plumbing, passed suddenly at his home in Burke, Idaho on Sept. 29, 2021 - one day after turning 51 years old.
Randell was born on Sept. 28, 1970 in Kellogg, Idaho to Ronald Rosson and Sheila (Bushnell) Rosson. His father died in an accident when Randell was four months old. His mother raised him in Wardner, Idaho, where he grew up playing baseball, riding bikes, playing board games and listening to music. He loved playing football and was a part of the Kellogg Wildcat Wrecking Crew.  He looked up to his maternal grandfather, Randell Bushnell, from whom he learned about craftsmanship and working with tools.
In 1987 he and his mother left the Silver Valley after she earned her bachelor’s degree. They settled in Twin Falls, Idaho, where Randell eventually met his first wife Robyn Garner in 1988, with whom he had two children. After a short stay in Lancaster, Calif. working on pumps across southern California, he returned to Twin Falls with unique experiences he would never forget.  He enjoyed the telling of these adventures.  He spent many years working at WDCI (now Glanbia Foods) a dairy processor, and a short time in Nevada in exploratory drilling before settling on plumbing as his profession.
He married Colleen Cantwell in Aug. 1999 and finished raising his children. Neat and organized, he completed a plumber’s apprenticeship, but he wanted to come back home to the Silver Valley. When he heard about a business owner retiring, he made some calls and bought Silver Valley Plumbing and relocated back to the Silver Valley in 2010.  He took great pride in being a tradesman using the skills and ethic taught to him by his grandfather.
Reserved and private, he took a lot of trips with his wife. He enjoyed time at home and with his family and playing with his dogs. He is an outspoken advocate for Pitbull’s and had a vision for a Pitty Plantation where this loving and loyal breed could live loved and happy.  Randell was a talented cook and loved grilling. In his pursuit of this talent, he wanted to grow his own ingredients especially the hot peppers.  He unexpectedly found he enjoyed gardening.  He also enjoyed hiking, fishing, off-roading, riding motorcycles and fixing up his and his wife’s new home.
Randell’s gruff exterior hid a tender soul.  His kindness and quirky humor left an indelible impression on those fortunate enough to get to know him and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Colleen Rosson, of Burke, Idaho; his son, Randall Rosson, his daughter, Emily Rosson, both of Jerome, Idaho; his mother Sheila Milam of Twin Falls and a step-son Kalib Brady of Caldwell, Idaho; adopted brother Lucas Milam of Salt Lake City and adopted sister Cecilia “Sissy” Milam of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.
There will be a graveside dedication on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021 at 10:30am at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg with a celebration of life to follow.
