Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Richard Lee Green, 73, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away December 3, 2014 at the Mountain Valley Care & Rehabilitation of Kellogg. He was born September 21, 1941 in Grandfield, Oklahoma; Richard was the son of Ollie Lee and Ina Mae (Robbins) Green.
Richard attended and graduated from the Grandfield High School of Grandfield, Oklahoma.
Richard married Lucille M. Dosch on May 24, 1974 in Brighton, Colorado. Richard and Lucille moved to the Silver Valley in 2003.
Richard was a farmer and harvester in Grandfield, Oklahoma. He then went into road and bridge construction in Oklahoma and surrounding areas. Richard worked in the Rexall warehouse, then moved to Colorado working in home construction. He finally worked at a paper mill in Grand Rapids, Minnesota; he then retired.
Richard loved and enjoyed his family, prospecting and metal detecting, wood-working, fishing, hunting, camping and traveling.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of forty years Lucille Green of Kellogg; four children Ted Kimmes of Sterling, Colorado, Deborah Kimmes of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Mary Lynn (Mark) Bren of Kellogg and Susan Marie Heidt of Kellogg; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014, at 2:00 P.M., at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg, with Pastor Gene Jacobs officiating.
