Shirlene Flory

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister, Shirlene L. Flory, 73, of Smelterville, Idaho, passed away September 30, 2013 at the Mountain Valley Care & Rehabilitation of Kellogg. She was born January 12, 1940 at Mapleton, Utah; Shirlene was the daughter of Amon and Lena Rose (Jensen) Lawhorn.

Shirlene moved to the Silver Valley in 2000 from Burley, Idaho. She married Ronald “Ron” R. Flory on June 27, 2002 at Smelterville, Idaho.

Shirlene was a homemaker; she loved and enjoyed her family, cooking and flower arranging.

Shirlene is survived by her husband Ronald “Ron” R. Flory of the family home of Smelterville; six children Nancy (Greg) Wright of Burley, Idaho, Ida (Scott) Butigan of St. Anthony, Idaho, Douglas (Angela) Bruno of Rigby, Idaho, Scott James (Joni) Bruno of Rupert, Idaho, Penny (Dwight) Briggs, of Jerome, Idaho and Heather Rose Bruno of Burley, Idaho; two step-children Paul B. Flory of Boise, Idaho and Misty Dawn (Brad) Ketola of Reedpoint, Montana; twenty-four grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; her brother and sisters Sharon Webster of Heyburn, Idaho, Norma Knight of Rupert, Idaho, Rodney Smith of Burley, Idaho and Sandra Lawson of Rupert, Idaho; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Shirlene was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Richard and her former husband Charles Bruno.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg with Bishop Lonny Duce officiating. Interment will be held at the Shoshone Memorial Gardens of Pinehurst.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shoshone County Food Bank, 311 Main Street, Kellogg, Idaho 83837.
