Sylvia Beare

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister, Sylvia Beare, 93, of Cataldo, Idaho, passed away January 13, 2015 at her home of Cataldo. She was born May 1, 1921 in Lurton, Arkansas; Sylvia was the daughter of Daniel Delbert and Annie Betsy (Jones) Savage.

Sylvia married Hayward Beare on December 19, 1939 in Johnson County, Arkansas; Hayward passed away on May 8, 2005. Sylvia had moved to the Silver Valley in 1939 from Arkansas.

Sylvia was a homemaker. She loved and enjoyed her family and building bird houses; Sylvia was an outdoors woman- she loved gardening, fishing, hunting and camping.

Sylvia is survived by her beloved family one son Merle (Glenda) Beare of Cataldo, Idaho; four grandchildren Cary Beare, Carla McGregor, Craig Beare and Terri Ackerman; two step-grandchildren Jenny Luther and Lonnie Smither; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one sister Ina Bershaw of Hayden, Idaho. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hayward Beare, three sisters, two brothers and several half brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg, Idaho with Glenda Beare officiating. Interment will be held at the Hunt Cemetery of Kingston, Idaho. There will be a visitation/viewing on Saturday, January 17th at 1:00 P.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel; everyone is welcome.
