Yvonne C. Conklin, 80

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Yvonne C. Conklin, 80, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away April 15, 2021 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg, Idaho.  She was born September 11, 1940 in Watson, Oklahoma; Yvonne was the daughter of Cleatis and Edna (Johnson) Moyer.

Yvonne moved to the Silver Valley in the 1950’s from Oklahoma.  She attended school in Kingston, Idaho.

Yvonne was united in marriage to Jack Conklin on January 27, 1978 in Superior, Montana.

Yvonne was a waitress and a bartender.  She had first worked at the Shack Drive-In of Pinehurst, then Sweets and The Mint of Wallace and the Happy Landing of Smelterville.  Jack and Yvonne then operated and managed Albert’s Place of Enaville for eight years.  And finally for twenty-eight years, Yvonne and Jack owned and operated The Hill Top of Kingston.

Yvonne loved and enjoyed visiting casinos, going for car rides, and visiting with customers and friends throughout her working years.

Yvonne is survived by her beloved husband of forty-three years Jack Conklin of the family home of Kingston; two children Jim (Karen) Wild of Seattle, Washington; Marty Nearing of Washington; four grandchildren Jack Rowley, Eli Harigan, Cameron and Lauren Wild. She is also survived by a favorite niece Connie McCombs.  Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Sheila Conklin, three sisters Maxine, Geraldine, and Wanda and two brothers Ivis and David Moyer.

Private family graveside services will be held.

Yvonne was very loved by Jack and her family.  She had a strong faith in God and will be truly missed.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.
