Debby Kay Keegan, 59

Beloved daughter, sister and aunt, Debby Kay Keegan, 59, of Liberty Lake, Washington, passed away May 23, 2020 at the Schneidmiller House (Hospice House) of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.  She was born November 11, 1960 in Seattle, Washington; Debby was the daughter of Edward Keegan and Kay (McElroy) King.

Debby attended and graduated from Edmonds High School of Edmonds Washington in 1978.  She then attended Washington State University, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in business.  Debby moved to Manoa, Hawaii spending time in Asia Field studies.  She then furthered her education and attended Gonzaga University receiving her Master’s Degree in business.

Debby had moved to the Liberty Lake, Washington area in 2016 from Bothell, Washington.

Debby had first worked for Boeing Aerospace of Seattle, Washington writing technical process manuals for the 747, 767 and 777.  She then worked for Moss-Adams Accounting firm and Peterson-Sullivan Accounting, both of Seattle.  And lastly, she had worked as Senior Marketing Manager and CRM Administrator for Bay Shore Systems of Rathdrum, Idaho.

Debby was a member of the Seattle Long Distance Bike Club, the Marketing Management Association of Washington and was an International Construction (ICUEE) Committee Member.

Debby loved and enjoyed long distance competitive biking, photography, scuba diving, floral design, swimming, floating down the Coeur d’ Alene River, gardening at the river place, paddle boarding and jogging- Debby ran marathons in Washington and California.  Above all, Debby loved and adored her family; spending time with them and their wonderful get-togethers at her Mom’s and Jack’s river place.  She also enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and spending time in the sun.  Debby also loved to help organize her Mom’s and Jack’s class reunions and annual Christmas parties; she had always viewed their classmates and friends as her own.

Debby is survived by her mother and step-father Kay and Jack King of Prichard; her brother and sister-in-law Tim and Gail Keegan of Seattle, Washington; her sister and brother-in-law Jenny and Ron Sanchez of Puyallup, Washington; one niece and two nephews Whitney Kibler, Will and Sam Keegan; two aunts Jean McEvers of Arlington, Washington and Leora Jensen of Rathdrum, Idaho; she is also survived by several cousins.  Debby was preceded in death by her father Edward Keegan.

Memorial Services and A Celebration of Debby’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Rita’s Catholic Church of Kellogg with Father Jerome Montez officiating.  A reception/luncheon will be served in the Church Fellowship Hall following services.
