Dolores Ellen Kirk, 86, of Mullan, Idaho, passed away September 21, 2022 at Kootenai Health of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.  She was born May 18, 1936 in Mullan; Dolores was the daughter of Walter and Isabel (Martin) Erickson.

Dolores has lived in the Silver Valley all of her life.  She attended and graduated from the Mullan High School in 1954.

Dolores first married Robert J. Anderson; he passed away on June 16, 1963.  She then married James “Jim” Kirk on June 17, 1964 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; Jim passed away April 23, 2010.

Dolores had cooked in various restaurants of the Silver Valley.  She also had served as a school bus driver for many years for the Wallace School District.

Dolores loved her Mullan community.  She was also a member of the Wallace Lady Elks, a member of the Eagles, and a member/treasurer of the Mountaineer Motorcycle Club.  Dolores volunteered for most, if not all events held in Mullan.

Dolores loved and enjoyed her family, ceramics, painting, cooking and collecting treasures.

Dolores is survived by four children Steven Anderson (Rhonda Ivie) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Terry Anderson (Brenda) of Mullan,Idaho, Lisa Smith also of Mullan and Patrick Kirk of Dallas, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers Edward Erickson (Bonnie) of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, Robert Erickson of Seattle, Washington and John Erickson (Bonita) of Mullan and one sister Linda Migliore of Spokane, Washington.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Dolores’s Life will be held and announced at a later date.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Mullan Community Foundation, P.O. Box 472 Mullan, Idaho 83846.
