Jo Ellen Sharp

Jo Ellen Sharp, 84, of Kellogg, ID, passed away on June 7, 2022, at Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg. Jo Ellen was born on May 17, 1938 in Naches, WA, a daughter of the late Obin Johnson and Ruth Martin Johnson.

After graduating high school, she attended North Idaho College where she studied accounting. She later worked in the accounting department at Bunker Hill. She married Walter Lee Johnson in Coeur d’Alene, ID on July 22, 1955. Jo Ellen and Walt had three sons, Mike, Pat, and Tim.

After the boys were grown and out of the house, Jo Ellen and Walt traveled all over, which she greatly enjoyed. Jo Ellen was also an expert at needlepoint.

In addition to her parents, Jo Ellen is preceded in death by her son, Tim Sharp.

Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Walter Sharp of Kellogg, ID; two sons, Mike Sharp of Nye, MT and Pat Sharp of Kellogg, ID; a grandson, Steven (Claudia) Sharp of Pinehurst, ID; a granddaughter, Amber Sharp of Montana; a great-granddaughter, Hailee Sharp of Pinehurst, ID; a brother, Clyde Johnson of Maryland; and a sister, Mary Lou Pleas of Pinehurst, ID.

A celebration of Jo Ellen’s life will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, 2:00 PM, at the Kellogg Senior Center, 211 McKinley Ave., Kellogg, ID.
