Karen Kay Daugherty, 65

Beloved wife, mother and sister, Karen Kay Daugherty, 65, of Cataldo, Idaho, passed away October 20, 2019 at the family home of Cataldo.  She was born April 3, 1954 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; Karen was the daughter of Robert and Goldie (Ailer) Matthews.

Karen moved to the Silver Valley in 1972.  She was united in marriage to Michael “Mike” J. Daugherty on December 3, 1972 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.

Karen was a homemaker; she loved and enjoyed her family, reading and gardening.

Karen is survived by her husband Michael “Mike” J. Daugherty of the family home of Cataldo; two children Jennifer Daugherty of Kellogg, Idaho and Melissa Daugherty of Cataldo; two brothers Joe Matthews of Oregon and Doug Matthews of Post Falls, Idaho; one sister Naomi Galloway of Pinehurst, Idaho; Karen is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Graveside Inurnment services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hunt Cemetery of Kingston, Idaho- everyone is welcome; a Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held at the Timbers Roadhouse of Cataldo following graveside services.
