Patti Montgomery

Patti Jan Montgomery, 76.

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend, Patti Montgomery of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away November 25, 2019 while in the care of Mountain Valley of Cascadia in Kellogg. Patti was born to Mabel and Herman Owens on December 22, 1942 in Fargo North Dakota.

Patti grew up in Petaluma, California. At the young age of 15, Patti married the love of her life, Harold (Buddy) Montgomery. They were married for 61 years when Buddy passed away in September, 2019. Her heart was broken.

Patti worked as a substitute teacher and Aide in schools in California. They raised 2 children there. David and Kathy. Patti and Buddy were members of the Allegro Travel club. They saw many beautiful places in several different states and made lots of lifetime friends.

In 1990 Patti and Buddy made the move to Pinehurst, Idaho where they would enjoy many years with their “Idaho Family”. They enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, playing darts, and many family get togethers.

Patti was twice an Exalted Ruler at the Kellogg Elks #1841. She was also a member of Ladies of Elks.

Patti is survived by her son David Montgomery of North Dakota, her Daughter Kathy (Tim) of Rathdrum, 2 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Also her sister Joane Rider of California and her brother Wayne Owens of California. Special nephews and nieces, Randy and Karen Carlson of Hayden, Idaho, Denny and Cindy Carlson of Pinehurst, Idaho. Also Christy Reasor of Gresham, Oregon, Larry and Debby Rider, Craig and Christina Elwell, Bill and Estelle Rider and Sharon Rider, all of California. And many extended  family and friends.

Patti was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved Husband Buddy.

Thanks to Mountain Valley of Cascadia in Kellogg for the loving care they gave our Aunt Patti for the last 2 months.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
