Robin Lynn Assels, 68

Robin Lynn Assels, 68, of Smelterville, Idaho, passed away June 2, 2020 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg.  She was born September 17, 1951 in Butte, Montana; Robin was the daughter of Donald and Glenda (Horalic) Noble.

Robin attended and graduated from the Belt Valley High School of Belt, Montana.

Robin married Charles “Chuck” Assels on June 17, 1969 in Belt, Montana.

Robin moved to the Silver Valley in 1972 from Great Falls, Montana.

Robin had served as cashier and bookkeeper for the Silver Valley Warehouse Market of Kellogg, which later became Yokes Foods, for thirty-three years; she retired in 2015.

Robin loved and enjoyed her family, cooking and reading.  In her younger years, she enjoyed camping, the outdoors and gardening.

Robin is survived by her husband Charles “Chuck” Assels of Smelterville, Idaho; three children Stacey Assels of Osburn, Idaho, Charles (Jamie) Assels, III of Kellogg, Idaho, and Michelle (Gene) Oakes of Osburn; two grandchildren Caiden Assels and Zoey Serrano; one great-grandchild Jessie Rogers of Osburn; two brothers Mark Noble of Kellogg and Terry Noble of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister Donna Potter of Great Falls, Montana; Robin is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson Randy Tarter.

Cremation will be held and upon Robin’s request, no services will be held.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
