Wesley Arthur Perkins, 89

Wesley Arthur Perkins, 89, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away November 16, 2019 at the family home of Kellogg.  He was born August 5, 1930 in Springfield, Missouri; Wesley was the son of Jessie and Julia (Rousseau) Perkins.

Wesley joined and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged from the service, Wesley moved to the Silver Valley to begin his career in mining. He worked at several mines before his retirement.

In 1952, Wesley was united in marriage to Yvonne Travis in Redding, California.

Wesley had a passion for fishing. He loved spending his days casting into the lakes, rivers and streams that the Silver Valley had to offer. When he wasn’t fishing he could be found playing with his grandchildren. He loved spending time with them and was a very proud grandfather.

Wesley is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Yvonne Perkins; two children Wes Perkins, Jr. and Randy (Mary) Perkins; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, his son Michael Perkins and his four brothers.

A Celebration of Wesley’s life will be held next summer.
