Clarence Walter Ohman, 80, of Pine Creek- Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away August 16, 2011 at the family home of Pine Creek. He was born August 26, 1930 at Wallace, Idaho; Clarence was the son of Adolph Aguston and Clara (Fitz) Ohman.
Clarence attended and graduated from the Kingston High School of Kingston, Idaho in 1949. He has lived in the Silver Valley all of his life.
Clarence married Impi Hietala on June 29, 1950 at the Federated Church of Kellogg, Idaho; Impi passed away in 1999.
In his early years, Clarence mined and logged. He then owned and operated Ohman’s Shell Service Station of Smelterville, Idaho for ten years. In 1970, Clarence then went to work for Shoshone County on the road crews for twenty-three years, retiring in 1993.
Clarence had been a member of the Mountaineer Motorcycle Club. He loved and enjoyed his family and was a life-time avid hunter in black powder, archery and rifle hunting; he also enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling and gardening.
Clarence is survived by two children Steven Ohman and his companion Nancy Stevenson of Spokane, Washington and Sharon and her husband Ken Bush of Pinehurst, Idaho; seven grandchildren Jason Ohman of Smelterville, Idaho, Jeremy Ohman of Spring Creek, Nevada, Jesse Ohman of Wardner, Idaho, Tacey Keylon of Hayden, Idaho, Tami Wood of Pinehurst, Idaho, James Bush of Pinehurst, Idaho and Carrie Bieker of Denver, Colorado; Clarence was also considered a “Grandpa” to many neighbors in Pine Creek; he is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and a loving family friend and caretaker- Fumi. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Impi, one son Jerry Ohman in 2006 and one grandson Tim Bush in 2010.
Cremation was held and A Celebration Of Clarence’s Life will be held on Saturday, August, 20, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg, Idaho with Pastor Gene Jacobs officiating. A reception and a gathering of family and friends will be held at the Pine Creek Tavern following services; everyone is welcome.

I worked many years on the county road crew with Clarence. Clarence was very likable and respected by all of us that worked with him. Clarence will be missed by all of the road crew. -- Grant Tester

I love going to your grandparents house we were always welcome. We were also Welcome at Impi and Clarences. we had so much fun and there are so many good memories.
