Lawrence “Larry” B. Priest, Jr., 74, of Wardner- Kellogg, Idaho, passed away peacefully at home on August 18, 2011. He was born April 9, 1937 at Spencerville, Oklahoma; Lawrence was the son of Lawrence B. and Clara Priest, Sr.
Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years Betty Priest of the family home of Wardner-Kellogg, Idaho; four children Debra and her husband Mike of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; sons Dennis of West Richland, Washington, Larry of Kellogg, Idaho and Jim of Kennewick, Washington; Grandchildren Larry, Amy, Kevin, Sara, Angie, Viki, MJ, Casey, Amera, Tye, Chase and Kohl; eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; three sisters Linda, Clara and Mary; two brothers Leon and Ted; Lawrence was preceded in death by his father Lawrence B. Priest, Sr., his mother Clara (Parsons) Priest, two sisters Joyce and Mildred, two brothers Harold and John Daniel.
Lawrence worked as a Laboratory Technician for Battelle Northwest in the Hanford Nuclear area of Richland Washington for forty-three years; he retired in 1999 and then moved to the Silver Valley.
Lawrence loved and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, ATV riding and camping.
Funeral services will be held at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg, Idaho on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. A reception will be held at the Steel Workers Hall, 110 Hill Street of Kellogg, Idaho following services.

To the family of Larry Priest, I was sorry to see the obituary for Larry. I am wishing all of the family my condolences and prayers. We were the best friends in school and work for over fifty years. It would have been nice to be closer these last few years. I spent many an afternoon at their home eating cornbread or biscuits. I lost my brother 4 years ago and my mother 2 months ago.
